Joy Lanzendorfer is the author of the novels Right Back Where We Started From (Blackstone) and The Bath School Disaster. Her nonfiction and fiction have been published in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Atlantic, Smithsonian, NPR, The Guardian, Poetry Foundation, and The Washington Post. She lives in Petaluma with her family and three cats.
